As an interdisciplinary artist Olga Anashkina works in three artistic mediums: ceramic sculpture, art object, and panel.

The author aims to raise public awareness and inspire acute social issues of our time, including the violation of human rights and freedoms, along with depicting the image of a real strong-willed free spirit and his role in our contemporary world.

Throughout her creative activity, Olga explores one of the most crucial issues-the issue of freedom. Including the elements of contradiction and contrast, her works often reflect the tangled synergy between freedom and restrictions.

Using different types of artistic mediums, due to their textures and forms, the artist achieves the sense of presence to release a tangible dense form that does not seem fictitious.

The author's technical experiment is focused on the study of the synergy between two opposite materials – ceramics and polymers. As a rule, they do not interact with each other. Despite this blatant discord, the author urges her audience to admit the beauty of ceramics as a pattern of the past and the beauty of polymers as a pattern of our present.

The depiction of human faces plays a significant role in Olga’s works. Representing human FACE with closed eyes, she tends to emphasize the importance of self-reflection and the search for answers not outside, but inside our soul.

A series of works "Escape" deserves a particular mention.

The author creates an image of a dissenter. These works are about the rebel who would lead to progress, someone who, despite the pressure of our society, would manage to maintain independent thinking and fortitude.

Olga’s dissenter inevitably stands out among the crowd since he refuses to obey generally accepted principles: he protests and rebels. In the meanwhile, he, being a rebel, offers an alternative solution, otherwise his protest is meaningless…

As for all her art expositions, it is worth paying particular attention to the exhibition in the New Tretyakov Gallery in 2022. Her participation in the contemporary art fair, RED DOT MIAMI ART FAIR, held in December 2023 in the USA, has also been confirmed.
